Slightly inflating these by blowing air into the white bushing hole NOT INSERTING ANYTHING OTHER THAN AIR into this hole will re-inflate bladders. Then of course the tape over the maze hole needs to be removed, and maze hole made clear. HP has deliberately made these cartridges a little tricky to refill. Nevertheless, we've refilled over 8000 since 1993. We generally tell users inquiring by phone that it takes less time to refill these, than to explain how. -- John Connolly Image Control Corp. - Remanufactured & Generic Toner Cartridges (416) 694-7509 fax (416) 694-7929 Date: Thu, 06 Feb 1997 00:28:29 GMT From: Mike Boniface Newsgroups: comp.periphs.printers Subject: Re: refill Canon BCI-21 cartridge John Connolly wrote: >Mike Boniface wrote: >> >> "Marshall McKinney" wrote: >> >> >How can i pop off the top to refill the Canon BCI-21 color and black >> >cartridge? >> >> >thanks >> >> Dont! just fill it through the bottom. Actually I did mean to say, just drip 200 bits of ink onto this aperature to easy fill the cartridge. Not to be reccomended to dammage the surface by poking it, also not for the colour cartridge as ink may come out the other end and swamp another colour. :-) Certainly very sensible John! >> mike boniface >> >> Save an inkjet cartridges life; mail Inky Fingers for a refill! >> inkjet@refil.compulink.co.uk >> http://www.compulink.co.uk/~refil/ >Most unwise to tamper with connections to print head.
