He contacted Alps and they said their cartridges will not work in a Printiva. Does anyone know if this is really true? I thought they were identical printers. The primary reason I'm asking is because the Printiva metallic cartridges are *so* much more expensive than the Alps (I've seen the Alps metallics selling for $7 and the Printiva's for $14).
