# sblbook – A LaTeX class for SBL style print ready books [`sblbook`](https://github.com/dcpurton/sbltex/tree/main/sblbook) provides a LaTeX class for producing articles and papers conforming to the style required by the Society of Biblical Literature. It depends on [`sblfonts`](https://github.com/dcpurton/sbltex/tree/main/sblfonts) for language support, [`biblatex-sbl`](https://github.com/dcpurton/biblatex-sbl) for referencing, [`sblidx`](https://github.com/dcpurton/sbltex/tree/main/sblidx) for indexing and [`bibleref-sbl`](https://github.com/dcpurton/sbltex/tree/main/bibleref-sbl) for Scripture references. ## Installation The [`sblbook`](https://github.com/dcpurton/sbltex/tree/main/sblbook) class is in TeXLive and MiKTeX and can be installed in the usual way through your distribution. E.g., in TeXLive by running: ``` tlmgr install sblbook ``` For installation from GitHub, see https://github.com/dcpurton/sbltex. Note that the example book, `sbltex-book.tex`, needs `biblatex-sbl.bib` which is distributed in the `biblatex-sbl` package. ## Licence ``` Copyright (c) 2026 David Purton This work may be distributed and/or modified under the conditions of the LaTeX Project Public License, either version 1.3c of this license or (at your option) any later version.
